Spiral cutter head for JP0610

Has anyone toyed with the idea of replacing their cutter head (straight knives) with spiral cutter head? If so, was it worth it?

I have a Dewalt planer and have straight knives. It works great. But i've also heard that the spirial cutters work much better and smoother. If I used mine more and had the spare cash, I might consider it, but for now it works fine.

They are available for most of today's jointers.
