just purchased on ebay a ridgid vacuum pump. i didn't see it on this web site.

it's model #vp2000. it can pump out 10 gallons a minute at 40' head through a 5/8'' garden hose.

is this already out? or do i have the one and only prototype:confused:

i'll have it next week.

Well to me instead of punking your wet/dry vac and emptying it you can pump it out and "up". Looks like you just screw it on or you have to have two hoses to get even further out. But most (all) basements have a floor drain so unless their clogged I can see the usage for this tool, and the price is cheap. It does look like something I could use in the future, the dry part is different, could use it to pump saw dust out into a bag that would be "GREAT". But it does fasten directly onto the Vac, will it interfere with the rolling around, I will check this item out, saw dust purpose for sure...

After you've used it some please let us know how you like/hate it. It looks handy for use with water. I bet you own several portable pumps and may find this thing more a PITA than it's worth. Hopefully that won't be the case.
