I just bought the Ridgid 24v Li Battery 4-pak (circ saw, recip saw, hammer drill, light) not 2 weeks ago. I went looking for a 1/4" sheet sander or random orbit sander and to my surprise, neither exists. Does anyone know if Ridgid plans to release a 24v Li sander in the near future? I need the sander and really don't want to return these and switch to another another brand.

Thanks for inputs.

The only cordless sander I can recall ever seeing is made by Ryobi random orbital. No one else makes cordless sanders.

A cordless sander isn't going to give you much run time.

I've got the Ryobi reciprocating pad sander and I like it for light jobs. It is probably as big as you'd want to go in a sander. I have the Ryobi random orbit 18V buffer and it is easily bogged down and doesn't run long. Belt sanders really suck down the juice...a portable version would probably have really short run times.
