bottle trap

i'm going to install a wall mount sink in a renovated 1/2 bath, and would like to dress-up the trap with a bottle trap.

if something goes down the drain, it doesn't appear it will be expelled as easy as a p-trap. do you have any problems with them?

out here, they are not legal. the pop up asy. will prevent most items from going down the drain.
