I have had masters liscense for about 8 years and have had no problems keeping work. Used temporary help .2 years ago I decided to do only repair work and stayed booked up. About 6 months ago I hired a guy so I did not have to work weekends and 16 hr days. Now I cannot keep him with 25 any work. I still get My regular calls but everyone seems to have slowed down now. Is there anything I can do to inspire new customers? It has become bad enough I have set my employee down and told him if he can find another job to go get it. I have a yellow page ad that come out in june 1 07 but only had 2 call off of it.I really would like to make this work and keep my help. Master plumbers will to work for someone else are hard to find in my area. I had hopes of being able to give him profit sharing. I know I have rambled a lot just wanted to give enough background for good input. If anyone has any helpful advise I would appreciate it.
thanks

When you had all you work the last 2 years, did you keep up a customer list? If you did, send them all a news letter, maybe post a coupon for referall or first time customers. remember, something will always come along, it always does, never get "hard up" and start bidding jobs lower then what you would regularly do them for, that will put you in trouble. Hang tight, it always works out;)

elwood,

Spend sometime reviewing the forums. This is a question which has come up quite a few times.

One idea...
Call local contractors, new construction isn't the most lucrative, but I worked for a large co that used it to fill the schedule.
