why not:confused: the vent is on a 45 and it's considered vertical.

this was a very common installation years back.

how do you see it and why?

I don't see why not...as long as it's an LS at the bottom (combo wye).
Only possible prob might be the fact that it ties into a running length of drain...maybe should be tied in on the side, though I'm sure an LS is ok vertically.
But then...we aren't "UPC" in my state...yet.

everything is verticle, the flange is connected straight to the barrel or "run" of the wye. as you see it in the picture, it is installed under the house. I wasn't sure if the codes have changed, and I am in such a tight spot, I have no choice but to re-install it this way again, just extend the vent another 8", because the toilet is moving over , but still on a 1/8th. I couldn't find anything wrong with it, but wanted to check. Thanks for the info, I will sleep happy tonight with no question or doubt:D I LOVE THIS FORUM, it's gonna save my hair, oh wait, I am bald anyways:p:)
