Laser trouble

What causes the laser to work sometimes or not. It's on my new 12" compound sliding Ridgid miter?

I'll bet a new battery will fix it.

Or if its too bright outside, you won't see the laser. My laser is that way anyhow, put a cover over it from the sunlight, that laser just becomes a brilliant light.

I have never been able to see my laser in sun light and I refuse to wear the red lenses shades. :cool:

But I do agree with B.D., its more likely your battery.
