I thought I read somewhere that the products sold by Amazon have a price guarantee for the lowest price. Does anyone else remember seeing anything like this? Does the guarantee only apply to products that are sold on the site or does it apply to any retail outlet. I'm looking at getting a drum sander and I noticed that there are a couple of other places on the web that offer it cheaper and I'm wondering if Amazon will beat the price.

I copied this off of the Amazon website;
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Amazon.com does not price-match with other retailers (including those who sell their items on our Web site). We do, however, consistently work toward maintaining competitive prices on everything we carry."

This is what I got from here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=468502), which is the Amazon.com price policy page.

Price Matching

Amazon.com does not price-match with other retailers (including those who sell their items on our Web site). We do, however, consistently work toward maintaining competitive prices on everything we carry.

Originally, Amazon would price match any "brick and mortor store"
they also use to make a printed catalog.
