Congrats on the new tool. Did you get one of the new orange ones or a grey one?

Roverdisco, I just did the same thing! I hesitated for a few weeks but I just couldn't shake the quality you get for that price. Mine is the old style grey on grey. Matches my other RIDGID stuff nicely. I suggested to the LOML that it could be a x-mass gift and she was very willing to go along with that idea.
Now, if I could just talk her into letting me open it before x-mass...

Yup, mine is also one of the old grey ones. It will match my 3612 well. Now I will have to make something to keep the head of the household happy.

Can anyone tell me how to order the riser block from the Ridgid web page? I can't find it. I'm new to this so please bear with me.
Thanks

I was at one of my local HD tonight and they had the riser block kit on sale for $35 down from $59 I think. Does anyone know if this kit comes with a longer guard arm for the working side of the blade, seems otherwise the guard and guides would be ~4" short. What else comes in the kit, the box didn't have a contents description.
Thanks

The riser kit comes with the longer bolt to mount it to the saw. I comes with a longer guard for between the doors on the left. Comes with a longer shaft that holds the guide blocks and bearing, and a longer guard with a greater working range. Well worth the sale price. I paid full price for mine. Now if my motor would just magically fix itself.
And a blade.
