Bearcountry Jamboree

Off to Twin Lakes Calif. outside of Bridgeport.Been having lots of problem with bears up there(7,000ft.) this year because of drought and not having any bear boxes like Yosemite.Talked to a nieghbor that just got back from there,the site had 20 vehicle bear breakins over a one week period.

Gonna put a bowl of ammonia and some moth balls in my truck where food will be stored and spray Deet around door seams.

Leaving tommorrow at 4:00 A.M.

Gone for a few days or more.

Been looking forward to silence and crisp clean air for a long time.

Gonna miss you guys,Have fun,save some poser Ham for me:p

adam, it's probably too late to warn you, but deet and rubber weather stripping and paint don't mix:eek:

2 years ago in mammoth lakes we too had bears going into the trash dumpsters. a good snowball to the bear and they ran like scaredy cats:D

of course i was on the second floor on the balcony so i wasn't face to face.

hope you're having fun (had fun) and come back to sort things out.

should have brought the dog:cool: that would have chased the bears off.

You light-weights don't know squat about bears until you've lived a couple of weeks amongst them on the Alaskan tundra. It's quite the sensation to wake up every morning and think "hey I survived another night".

I believe you are making an assumtion bumping you off is a computer problem and not Robert's way of settling old scores. I will have a talk with him about his abuse of power.
