Warranty Issue on SeeSnake

I bought a Mini-Seesnake 9 months ago that already needed some work done. I just can't understand why the GFI Switch that I got charged over $150 for is not covered under warranty. When you pay the amount of money for a piece of equipment like this,you would expect a better response from the company!! :confused:

What was the cause of the GFI failing? The Ridgid Warranty covers material defects and workmanship only. If the GFI failed for some other reason it would not have been warranty.
