Milwaukee impact driver

The small detent ball that holds the socket on is worn, squared if you will and it is hard to get sockets on without pushing it in. On the front of the square there is a hole and it looks like it easily replaceable. Wondering if it something I can do or need to go to service center.

It is a 1/2 inch impact, label worn cannot make out model#. about 5 years old. looks exactly like ones on the Milwaukee site.

Yes it is somthing you can do.in that hole is a spring that holds the detent pin in place. call milwukee or a service center and order #40-50-8320(PIN)&44-60-1170(SRING).
