lower bandsaw wheel

Without slamming this saw too,too bad..the lower wheel is out of round, thinking of having it milled, as it is one of many I have tired.

However, the slot key is frozen - any suggestions on getting it out so I can remove the _)(_(& wheel?

Have you tried tapping on the axle in order to break the 'seal' ? It needs to be an abrupt, solid rap. Don't get carried away but little taps won't cut it. If this makes you uncomfortable don't do it. Call a friend who is mechanically inclined who will have an experienced 'feel' for this. I wonder if your wheel is out of round or the hole is drilled off center. Just a thought.
