I just bought a TS2400LS. In the manual, it says the saw was designed for a 6" Dado set. Will the more common 8" size work OK or is the saw underpowered for this?

Any particular recommendations?

Freud SD206 is a very good set and quite easy to find from many sources over the Internet. If the Owners Manual recommends using a 6" set then that's what you probably should get. I don't recall ever hearing about any clearance problems if an 8" set is used but maybe someone who owns one of these saws will come along with some first hand knowledge. A 6" set will definitely be easier for the motor to spin.

DrDave,
The Freud SD208, 8" dado set, works just fine in my TS2400LS. Have had no problems.
