Back quite some time ago Van Dorn was bought up by Black & Decker. You have a nice vintage-antique grinder and I wish you the best of luck finding parts for it. More than likely you'll need to contact every power tool repair shop you can find and hope they may have a parts list and the needed parts as new old stock. Carbon motor brushes might be where you can luck out and use some for a newer tool that are the same size. A power switch for a newer tool may work if it fits and mounts correctly. This is where you may need to be a little inventive. As for the shaft seal you might find one that will fit. If you get lucky you may find a tool repair man that likes restoring vintage tools and he'll take interest in helping you. To find part numbers, try the local Dewalt service centers as some of them keep old parts lists around.

Good luck and please keep us updated.

Update: Try taking the old brushes with you and check ACE hardware. You may get lucky. Also, check places that rewind electric motors and at small appliance repair shops.
