Routing on the cheap:Hitachi M12 VC $59.50

Lowes has Hitachi fixed base varaible speed Hitachi M12 VC routers for $59.50. They were regularly $119. Nice starter router for someone. Made in china which I despise but should be a decent router!!!

I have one of these. At that price they are OK, I wouldn't spend more though. Bad access for changing the bit, especially if you have large hands. I've gotten a lot of use out of mine, aside from the pain in the a$$ bit changes it is not a bad router. I can barely get my fingers in to change the collet. It is not as smooth as my PC and has a lot more plastic. I haven't seen a better router for that price though. The similarly priced ryobi and craftsman are garbage.
Lowes often has the PC690 on sale for about $90, it is worth the extra $30.
