Anyone know where I can find a 24"x48" Mop Sink 10" tall.

This is for a Fresh Market Grocery and everyone I speak with says that they dont make one that large.

I just spoke with the Engineer of Record and he says that I am not the first to ask this question. He is looking to find information on it but I thought I would tap into the sources here.

Could you "Make you own"?

Set a shower drain,Build a dam as high as you want then tile.

Keep in mind it's not very chemical resistant.

Not for this client,

I have now been told by the engineer that one can be obtained from Stern Williams Company. He called them and it is not a standard size, but they have a mold for that size. Its a terrazzo. They make them to order and lead time right now puts me getting in January:eek::eek: (not acceptable) Oh yeah, he said they want nearly 3,000 dollars for it (NO Crap!!) I could just about chisel one out of solid granite for that:D

Oh well, the engineer is posing the question to the owner as to feasability of continuing to specify this size service basin.

Thanks for the help.

Eight weeks is not a huge lead time on such a specialty item like that.

Order now! and beat the Christmas rush :)

If they have the mold already. You might be able to have it expedited.

They might have to sell some more gourmet coffee to pay for it :D

Just how many mop buckets fit inside a 24" x 48" basin?

Have you thought about checking out a salvage yard? Habitat For humanity runs one in many areas.
