so you thought you could keep it a secret from me:D

not to hard to find when you list it under new products.

neat feature. you took the xlc swivel design and applied it to the smaller 1/2''-2'' jaws.

why no big press release and bells and whistles:confused:

or did you leave it to me to spill the beans:nyaa-nyaa4::ignore::ignore::party-on::barf:

joey, are you paying attention:speechless:

Yeah Rick,

We are so the same. We expect presents for any occasion, wea re both selfish,we like to talk about ourself,we don't like to listen(we prefer to do all the talking) and we are so self centered.

I think you deserve that prop pres thingy...i would expect the same....:D:D go for it buddy..better to get it for free then buy it:)

Now I know why Rick was not "into" the swap meet this time like I have seen him before.

Rick was sporting his ProPress Hat though.

These rings are called ProPress Standard Rings (catchy name, huh?). Rick is correct that they utilize the same benefits of XL-C Rings (180-degree swivel actuator, two-piece design, etc). These rings are great in tight spots or where a jawset can't traditionally reach. They're also much lighter than carrying around a 6-jaw set. With one actuator, you can make presses on multiple sizes...

There are actually two size ranges of kits. 1/2" - 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" - 2". The forces required to make a press on anything bigger than 1-1/4" require a larger actuator, so we seperated the kits to help minimize confusion. The rings for the smaller sizes can be used with any RIDGID tool (however, you have to purchase the appropriate actuator for your tool. The larger sizes can only be used with standard (4") press tools.

Will they replace jaws? No. Nothing beats crimp after crimp with a jawset in an open construction area. But for repair jobs, tight spaces, or unique geometry behind the wall, ProPress Standard Rings are the just the ticket!
