Good training is a good starting point. My suggestion, get closer to the pros, attend trade shows and get the most out of the formal training.

perhaps the most widely attended HVAC shosis the ASHRAE. There are regional ASHRAE and a national. I went last year to the national in Atlanta. It was a good show. Lots of pros to get in touch with,

I am not sure where this year's will be. Do a net search for ASHRAE. That will help.
