OK - I've got DWV system filled up to top of vents and it's pretty good....BUT.
Almost all the threaded ABS fittings drip even after tightening to point of breakage (I think).
Drain it and wrap more teflon tape around threads? Some kinda joint compound for ABS that's better than teflon tape? What a pita.
Little help anyone ? Thanks.

For DWV test plugs I have had great luck with bowl wax...
Smear it onto the threads liberally (male and female) and tighten hand tight plus a couple turns - don't have to bury the plug...

I don't even bother prepping with anything else on cleanouts larger than 2" anymore,If it's going to have head pressure.

Thanks - I was too lasy to empty the water and re-do and I passed inspection despite many slow drips. Will try the bowl wax from now on - I should have thought of that!
Thank you.
