Hi all,

I had some sheetrock work done at my house on a bathroom about 1 year ago. Most of the corners have developed a red stain at the edge. At first I thought it was some kind of mold, this does not seem to be the case. What I believe is happening, is the sheetrock corner bead is rusting and bleeding through the paint. Is this a common problem?

Thanks Bob

it could be that and the fasters as well most builder wont use stainless or galv, to corners should have been plastic but you can put a few coats of kilz on there and repaint, that might work though i am not sure for how long

Nice tip, I will do that.

I am redoing my other bath and this time I will try my hand doing the sheet rock. I did not know they had plastic corner bead, I will use that. you would think the pro I hired would have known that. You know, I might just call that guy back.

Thanks Bob
