I don't have the formula in front of me (and I can never remember those things), but doing a quick comparison with another tool catalog, I'd say it was about 3.0 HP. On the 2400 the motor is a 4000 rpm, universal-type and on the 3450 a 3450 rpm, induction motor is used.

Electrical HP measurements aren't very reliable because we don't usually know all the factors.
Assuming a 15 amp draw on a 120v circuit, using the rule of thumb calculation of amps x volts/746 = HP, the 2400 would produce 2.4hp if the motor runs at 100% efficiency with no other losses....which isn't likely...okay next to impossible. Considering it's plugging into a standard outlet, it's not likely that the motor produces over 1.5hp continuously. It would have to be near melt down point to achieve consistently higher HP calculations.
As a comparison, a Delta Unisaw has a true 3hp induction motor. That type of motor will draw ~ 12-20 amps on a 220v circuit.
