We recently had our Propress sent in for service because the tool locked us out. We thought that it was because of the 20,000 crimp service. It went back to Ridgid through our authorized repair center and came back with a $583.00 bill for a head cylinder (assuming cylinder head) and locking bolt. Has anyone had any similar problems? anyone know why these parts would fail? Thanks

**Forgot to mention it is a Ridgid 320-E Propress tool

sorry to hear that.

the 2 times i've had repairs to 2 different machines, all i had was a 1 way postage bill. i found a local authorized shop within 15 miles that had it mailed back to me in under a week;)

did you get a written bill and an explanation as to why this is not a covered item under the lifetime warranty?

i also have a ct400 electric machine as i understand that these are bullet proof:D

i always keep 2 machines on hand whenever i press. i can't take a chance with a job and no machine.
