View Full Version : Drill-Press - holding wheels and small parts

Good day

When I had to drill wheels (knobs) and small parts, I used hold-down clamps and other combinations that where "big" on the small wheels...but, no more...

So now, the DP table is clean from all the clamps and hold-downs and here it is...

BTW, How you pronounce one L and double LL....sorry for the speling mistakes on the pictures...

Best Regards
niki

Sleep ??? at my age (63) sleeping is waste of time.....I shall have enough sleep "later"...:):):)

Seriously, I'm retired and have all the time in the world for my hobby...not only but, in Poland we don't have the so wide jigs selection as in USA (you cannot find here even T-track) so, I have to "think harder" how to overcome some problems...:o

Nice to meet you here...and "there"...;)

Very good post and work. For those of us here in the USA I wonder if it might not be better to buy a good drill press vise with milled V grooves in the jaws. Please see pictures below. PALMGREN makes many versions and they are a USA made product. The junky ones at Harbor Freight are in my opinion a waste of time and money. Mine is like the left picture. The right picture is to show the V grooves in the jaws which both of these have.

Niki,
Great ideas!! I will be making one of those holders very soon. I use the same kind of hold down for the quill. I didn't think anyone would believe it. Although mine is sightly different -- I use blue wire.

Per your question on the first pic, Nikki, the 'LL' pronunciation is the same as one 'L'. Odd, but that's the language.

I was just making a fun....out of myself because of the spelling mistakes....well, that's what happens when a non-native speaker is not using the spell checker...:o
