i have a ridgid air compressor and it starts to low for my nailer to run is there a way to make it start before 70 psi

Which model do you have? I have the oil free twin stack (OF45150) and it starts before it gets down to 100PSI. I'm not sure if the pressure switch is adjustable. I'll go look.

All of the current ridgid air compressors have a regulator valve which is adjustable. It is a black knob on the face of the unit.
To adjust the machine to start before 70 psi follow the power cord to the machine usually there is a plastic cover, remove cover and you should see a needle valve, you can adjust this to make the machine come on sooner, just start machine, use some air and watch how it actually works, adjust to your needs.
