Poor Quality Control

I purchased a RIDGID sump pump from Home Depot 7 days ago and had to return it because it stopped working and flooded my basement for the second time in a week!!!:eek::eek: :mad:
Is this a common issue with RIDGID products?

No - this is a common issue with big box store plumbing items...
Instead of spending a bit more $$ to get a quality pump, some people want to cheap out and buy a lower quality one from HD or L*wes (etc) and they tend to get what they pay for....
