Rigid 9gal shop vac- no suction

I have a 9 Gal rigid shop vac that has lost most of its suction. I replaced the filter thinking that this would resove the problem but it has not.


Any suggestions on what to do?

check your hose???
did the old filter have a hole in it when you took it out????

I agree with spintyer, check the hose. I had that same problem one time with a Shop Vac and it turned out to be a plugged hose.

I third the motion. Had that problem once with a piece of foam insulation that got stuck in the hose and I pushed it out with a broom handle. Only other time I have had that problem are when the vac is full or the filter is over due for replacement which it sounds like you have already checked.
