Have you ever lost the screws for outlet covers or any of the hardware for cabinet doors when preparing to paint? Well, just keep a roll of duct tape handy and make a loop out of it (sticky side out) to attach the screws and such to as you get ready to paint
Surely every "handyman" has a multitude of uses for duct tape http://www.ridgid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ! Several of my colleagues do leather furniture repair, and I've caught them using trusty ol' duct tape as a backing patch for some of their leather repairs! It's sturdy enough to make a quick fix on a burst radiator hose! It makes a good hair remover (bikini babes, look out! [ouch!]) It can be used in a pinch to clamp up odd shaped peices, like certain chair backs, while the glue dries! Etc., etc., ad nauseum.
