sewage pump

[All Clear Sewer]

Anyone ever had an over head check-valve blow off on em when changing out a sewage pump in a basement? I have as of today :D The crazy thing was ok all night long as I took out the old pump last night. Today I went to install the new pump and as soon as I went to hook up the 2" pipe to the check-valve it poped off the pipe and got me good :shocked2: :D

I`m at home washing my coverall`s and coat when I should be out working.. :loser: ...rotflmao

I had a sump pump discharge come apart on me. I just smelled like a swamp rat for the rest of the day :eek:

I also had a sewage ejector come on while I was looking down the discharge pipe:banghead:...does this count?

I hope mine doesn't come apart. I replaced it today. I was smart enough to use new Ferncos after 15 years. they felt OK but I didn't want to take a chance. The old Zoeller had bit the dust. It's been getting used pretty heavily the last year and it had that damnable integral switch. Dunno why I bought that one. This time I got a separate float. My own is the only time i've ever used the integral float switch.
