k-1500 cart-afterthought?

On the Ridgid drum machines, the cart seems very well designed; stair climbers, kickstand to promote stability. On the 1500 A or B model which is the top of the line sectional, the cart seems bare bones. Nothing to it really and lots of room for improvement. Any ideas why?

i would think that the machine is much lighter in weight than a 7500 with a 100' of cable. the stair climbers would not be an issue with the minimal weight.
