Ridgid Scroll Saw noise

I was given an almost brand new Ridgid Scroll Saw, and I have operated it with limited success. My biggest problem is getting it to operate without the upper arm banging into the casing. If I adjust the blade tension knob where it stops banging, then my blade is too loose. If I adjust the blade tension knob so that the blade is tight enough, then the arm bangs on the housing.

Any clues or ideas on how to deal with the problem?

Not sure if this will help but if you go here http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/Literature-Search and then type "Scroll Saw" in the search box it will take you to where you can get the manual as a .PDF file. Maybe you need to try different blades in your saw.:confused:
