1st little projects...

I made a couple small trinket boxes just to get a feel for the 3650... I'm gonna try to post the pics. I used 1" red oak for the sides and 1/4" of the same for the bottoms. The corners are mitered and the bottoms are secured with a dado. I added beveled edges and some decorative kerf lines just for fun. I'm pretty happy at what I was able to do with the saw alone!!! (As you'll notice... they're not finished yet...)

Nice lookin boxes. The kerf lines are well laid out. How did you come about the measurements for the lines?

Kinda cool what you can do in a short time with a good saw. :D

I just set the fence and lowered the blade, then ran the outside of each piece through.... moved the fence over 1/2" and did it again. While hand sanding, I noticed a bit of tear-out on one of the corners... I think I fed that one through too fast...:(
