So I picked up a few items at the pumper show. Man it is expensive to go to that show!!!
I was like a kid in a candy shop. Great deals to be had there and I couldn't pass these up.
I will be picking up the jet and camera this coming Wednesday and Thursday. I will post some picks of the the actual equipment those nights.

I also picked up the new Ridgid SR-60 Locator w/brick and a few new drum machines from Spartan. I am also considering a K-60 as I am starting to really become convinced that it could be valuable to my operations. I wish I could see one in action in person. If anyone around me has one please let me know. I would like to meet up and see what it's capable of. Many of the users on here are no spring chickens, and if you say its a great machine it must be just that. Stay tuned.... i may end up with one of these things yet!

Wow, that is one heck of a jetter. What is the Gpm, Psi?
jr, you'll have to let me know how that insight view turns out for you in the long run. I like the form factor of their monitor. Out of our competitors I think they do the best with form factor in a nicely contained unit with digital . Soon very soon we'll be there.
Congtratz on the new arsenal though. You spent a pretty penny at the show. Nice meeting you... And yes... the roundup would be a great place to kick around the k60.

Jake,
You have purchased one of the finest, heavy-duty, municipal flushers on the the market. It's an awesome unit. The articulating reel was a good decision. You're going to like that camera too.

So I have decided to pursue a different jet after talking with a rep. from O'Brien. I have cancelled my order for the Sewer Equipment Company of America jet and i will be taking delivery of the jet shown below. I will have it Friday Morning and will post pics ASAP.
I need some help figuring out what to do about a moblie hose reel as this machine does not come with one. I am thinking about making my own by ordering the necessary parts off the net. Has anyone here ever made one of these or have ideas about how to do so? I am looking to have at least 200ft. of either 1/2' or 3/8" hose. It may just be cheaper and easier to buy one but I don't know.

Damn! I just wish I had the huevos to move up to that level. I could count one one hand the number of calls I've had for that rig, but if I had it, I bet they'd start coming in. And that thing would just laugh at the 4" lines I do. Keeping busy clearing clogged sinks and toilets for now. Anyone else made the transition from residential to municipal? How is that done? pros? cons? Local towns around here have their own equipment; All I can see for me with that is culverts. I doubt I could make the thing pay to insure the truck to pull it. PROPS!

Why the change. The specs on the other jetter seemed alittle better?

I decided to change because the dealer where i was getting the other jet from was in Michigan and the O'Brien service center is only an hour from me. The units are basicaly the same as far as bells and whistles but it does not come with the mobile reel.
The flow is actually the same. I made a typo when i added that in my original post. They are both 30gpm@3000psi i got confused after looking at so many different models and I didnt notice until you said something. I truly am getting more bang for the buck with this unit but no reel.
I have landed some big contract work with some small towns around here just by going in and talking with them. They asked if I could handle the work load and I asked if they were willing to put a commitment to paper. Once they did I started shopping for what would be best. In my area most of the townships are run by "GOOD OLD BOYS" and I are one!
It's amazing how a camo hat and a dip in the lip works while talking business with the these guys. I guess when you grow up in the country thats how it goes. Don't get me wrong I can sport the kaki pants and polo shirts for the city counsel meetings too. My wife says i am the yuppiest hillbilly she has ever seen.
