Noticed in catalog that 60 has an optional 7/8 trap leader. Anyone use one?

no, never seen one in person for the k-60 and i've never needed one.
it's all in the proper head you chose to clean with.
i find that the bulb or straight auger is the best bet for a tight trap.

I am getting my hands on a K-60 real soon. I will be using it primarily for 4" drains. What brand cables do you recommend Rick? the ridgid 7/8" cables or is there something better?

nothing wrong with the genuine ridgid 7/8 cables for 4''. i've even used them in 6''.
general wire makes an innercore 7/8'' cable with ridgid ends. great for 6''
ridgid has an innercore too, but it's not out in the usa yet? or is it:confused:

Are the general cables compatible with ridgid attachment blades? What are the advantages to the inner-core vs. hollow? and vice-versa?
Thanks in advice, impressionater!

just like a drum machine cable.
the inner core adds stiffness and strength. for 6'' pipe, it's better to have the inner core.
i have some and so does ben. i am doing 6'' with mine now;)

So its a matter of flexibility vs. strength. I just want to buy one set of cables for now, so I have to decide which will be better for me. The inner-core sound superior, just maybe a bit less flexible which wouldn't matter if I bought a trap-leader for them, the best of both worlds?
