the owner of a townhouse, who lives out of state in arizona asked me to fix the shower head that was not up to pressure for her renter.
the renter who just moved here from manhattan, new york is not a hands on person. i removed the dirty flow restrictor and flushed it out. checked the other shower while i was there and asked if there was anything else to check.
she waited till i was at my truck and called me on the cell phone. asked if i could check her fountain. since i was billing the owner for the call, i said i'll give it a look.
grabbed a few tools and walked back into the 38 unit complex. looked at the 5' tall 3 level, fountain that was plugged in and not pumping. i told her that the fountain was low on water;)
she told me when she bought it, it doesn't take water:confused:
i explained that it needs water in the lower level to allow the pump to recirculate to the top and it was low due to evaporation;)
she hands me a crystal vase from the kitchen and expects me to fill it with 5 gallons or more of water.
i ask for a garden hose and fill it from the bibb 2' away.
to her amazement the fountain came to life:D
of course i was so blown away by this that i couldn't help but tell her she would be famous on the ridgid forum overnight.
of course she could have been a ridgid calendar girl too:rolleyes:
funny it's the same complex that the former:( ridgid calendar photographer lives in too.
shower repair bill sent to owner.
fountain repair, no charge:D
maybe i just have a thing for naive new yorkers:rolleyes:
you think she knows slyvan:confused:
