I have a customer with a zoeller sewage ejector.I've been called twice because it stooped pumping, when I get there I have to clean a pulp like substance off the float, then works fine. They have a sloan flushmate tank
could that be pulverizing the tp into pulp or are they flushing something funky
down the toilet? thanks.:(

CJ ,

The "Pulp" is most likely just toilet paper . Check this --- Is the discharge line into the pit DIRECTLY in line with the float . Have encountered this twice on replacements .

The TP and solids dump directly onto the float causing the float to NOT be able to function properly. IF this is the case , you'll need to loosen some fittings and spin the pump out of that direct flow .

My best advice without seeing .

Good point many people miss, the float should be to the side of the drain, not directly under it.

if it is under it, things that won't go away like paper towels get hung up on the float and hold it down.

I humorously noticed I unconsciously do that with sumps that are attached to french drains out of habit a few weeks ago.
I absolutely hate getting call backs over simple things like that...trying not to kick yourself in front of the customer.
