Does anyone have trouble with the 206 jamming in the full open or closed position? Are we not operating it correctly? I think something must be wrong with the cutter, can't believe Ridgid would build something that requires this much thought! Let me know if anyone has experienced this.

Pretty much no. Sounds to me like your opening the ratchet mechanism to the last "click" and then adding pressure at the handle when opening. That can cause it to bind in my experience. I have never had any binding after a cut was made. Make sure it is lubricated properly.

you're trying to cut the pipe with the cutter open 1 link too many.

adjust your cutter 1 link tighter and you'll be fine. remember if it feels like it's too hard to ratchet, it's because it's jamming.

try marking the proper links with a color code. 2'' = red/ 3''= white/ 4'' = blue.

very easy that way to have the right link.

is this cutter you're everyday cutter for production, or just for ditch work?

rick.
