Well, this is the year, it seems, that we are going to have to switch over completely to R410A. All of our recovery units are 8-10 years old, and not rated for R410A. We haven't had to recover any systems yet, but I'm sure it will happen soon. The boss wants me to research the best option for a new recovery unit. It should see mostly residential / light commercial duty. (7 tons and under) There have been machines out for years that are rated for R410, but I haven't used any of them.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks. I'll check into it. I'm assuming you've tried (or heard from) some of the others? Promax and Stinger?

RE Michel carries the Appion, so I'll check it out.

I have an inficon also which does the job but appion is fast. I don't do commercial so 5 ton is the biggest I run into but the difference is noticeable. It is very loud though.
