I've done a fair amount of research on Li-ion batteries (used in cordless tools) and one of the great features of the chemistry is that they hold a full charge for several months, some as long as a full year. I have a pair of 24v Li-ion's that may keep a full charge for a couple of weeks but then they quickly lose their charge. I talked to the service depot and they tell me that this is normal for the Ridgid batteries. Have any of you had this problem?

If you did a search on this site for that topic you would find that many of us report that experiance. Several contributors have reported it is due to the self diagnosing circuitry. I have never asked the advisor at Ebox regarding the issue. We are contractors and charge all our batteries so frequently it is not an issue for us.
