years ago when i would attend the hardware trade shows:loser:

wd40 would demo an electric drill submerged under water with the motor running. this was in the days before gfi's outlets.

the wd is water displacing. the 40 is the 40th. attempt on this ingredient from my understanding.

and yes, i was man enough to try it:shocked2:
