Hi,

I'm sending #6 aluminum from the breaker to subpanel for a spa. From the spa to the subpanel will be copper.

Is this okay? What about running aluminum all the way?

(ps. anti-oxidant will be used)

Thanks in advance.

The use of aluminum is fine, what size breaker does this spa/hot tub need? Pretty much all of them I have seen are 50 amps. #6 aluminum is only good for 40 amps unless all your terminations are rated for 75 degrees. You might want to check that before you buy the cable.
