For the past few years I've been selling the crap out of these boilers. A few weeks ago my supplier had a few in stock but couldn't release one to me. Now I know why.

Weil Mclain will pay for 2 hours of labor to strip the jacket and draft inducer off to replace the flue collector. On some units the orifices will need to be replaced.

I start my first one next week. I expect this procedure to take no less than 4 hours

If you have one or installed one, better check the recall below

I try to stay away from them (w/m) unless a customers specs one. I have only put about 3 of them in in the last 3 years, and they were all atmospheric vents.

That really grinds my gears...Whenevr there is a warranty/recall issue and the company specs a certain amount of hours for the repair, never including travel time. But obviously you have to do the repair to save face for the customer. I never really use weil mclain anyways, but i will certainly make a point of avoiding them now
