i have never asked for help for any type of fund raiser but i have helped out a lot of people for there's
so this is a little strange doing this but some of my friends said to put something on the sites i go on and i got the ok from josh to do this
im doing a fund raiser for the Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire. The Mt Washington Observatory is a private, non-profit scientific ,educational institution , research and weather related organization . they are the only weather station at that altitude that is maned all year long. The money raise is so they may continue to do the fine job they do . I check in to there web site each day to look at the web cams and talk with my friends on the forum .I'm looking forward to making it to the top
i have bin a member for a couple years but this is my first Seek The Peek hike - a - thon
so im looking to make the hike to the top and help them to keep this operation going
i hiked up to the top 25yrs ago and would like to do it again so with your help i will have to make it to the top because you helped me
so if you can help post your pledge here it tax deductible
http://www.seekthepeak.org/view.php?p=Charlie
or you can send a check to me made out to Mount Washington Observatory
thanks for your help if you can and if not i under stand charlie

thanks and if you can help this is how to do a check
and if i make it to my fundraising target i will hold up a big ridgid banner
What do I do with cash and checks? We encourage all hikers to mail all off-line financial contributions to the Observatory beforehand, preferably by July 15. Additional donations can certainly be collected, but mailing contributions to us before the event helps our staff manage this ever-growing event! Please do not mail cash. Many participants deposit cash gifts and send us one check, with the donors. names on a note.
Mail all contributions to Mount Washington Observatory, P.O.Box 2310, North Conway NH 03860
Who should the checks be made out to? Please make checks payable to Mount Washington Observatory

Well, how did you do?
HVAC HAWK
07-29-2008, 08:44 PM
this is what i said on the MWO site
my first STP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have to say that when i started talking about doing this i knew i was going to have a hard time with the hike .then talking with brad and then having the pleasure of hiking up with him and Corey it was the best hike i ever had .
i did not make it to the top i stopped at the bottom of lions head at 4565ft ,my legs started to cramp up and i said to brad to keep going .i found a nice conformable rock [ that was hard to find a rock ] and sat there for 2hr just looking and looking and looking . this is the highest i ever hiked so when i started i said it does not mater to me to make the top but to go as much as i can . if it was not for brad and Corey i would have not made it to this height .
this day was one of the top days of my life to have made it this far and to have the chance to meet some amazon people .
thanks to all the people that had a hand in making this event happen and i will be back next year for STP 2009
all i can say is i made it to my peak this day and will never forget it
thanks charlie
