Ok folks... heres some more details on the Roundup like what to bring, transport, etc. and most importantly.. the schedule.

--------------

Roundup Folks,

We have 1 week left to the kickoff of the first official RIDGID Roundup. Preperations are almost done and we have an awesome week lined up. The weather forecast is turning out to be perfect! Please see the details below to help you plan out the trip.

Weather Forecast
Wed - 30% chance of early rain 75 degrees
Thurs - Partly Cloudy 72 degrees
Fri - Partly Cloudy 79 degrees
Sat - Partly Cloudy 79 degrees
http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/44035?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared

What to Bring
Some of these items are very important in order for you to be able to participate in some of the planned events so please pay attention.

- Hard Toed Shoes - In order to compete in the Roundup Games and in order to be able to go on the Plant Tour you must have Hard toed shoes. No sandals, tennis shoes, flip-flops, etc.
- Full Length Pants - Same as above. You must be wearing parts to participate in the Roundup Games or to go on the Plant Tour.
- Sunscreen, Sunglasses (for Cedar Point)
- Comfortable Walking Shoes (for Cedar Point)
- Bathing Suit (The Marriott has an indoor pool)
- Jacket - Just in case

Transportation
You do not need to rent a car for the Roundup. We will bus everyone to and from each event including Cedar Point on Saturday. If you are going to be here Friday night there are restaurants within walking distance of the Marriot. If you plan on seeing Cleveland that evening, you may want to rent something for that day. Other than that you are covered.

Schedule
The final schedule for the roundup is attached to this email. We will give you a nicely formatted version of this schedule when you arrive on Wednesday or Thursday.

Any questions please feel free to contact me (Josh) at 440-329-4480 if I don't answer you can call Steve at 440-329-4422. Also.. don't forget to check out the Roundup discussions on RIDGIDForum.com.

See you soon!

In Westlake? That's only about 5 miles from my house. I can get home from there on the scoot no matter what my condition may be! ;)

Why not?

And don't give me that arguement that they arn't comfortable or they do more harm to your toes if you smash 'em.

What about when you get really pissed at something and kick the crap out of it?

Uh oh we got off topic again :(

I don't know. We have already been through this. A girl can only ask so many questions. Sometimes they aren't even the right ones.

It never occurred to me to ask. Like it didn't occur to me to ask if it was a used cutter:p

The Marriott has a free shuttle to and from the airport. Might have to wait a half hour for it though. You and Benny staying at the Marriott?

The one I went to had a bar, arcade games and pool. The best description I can come up with is like SportsPlus (maybe that is local to LI) but with alcohol.

There are courtesy phones at the airport to call them past the luggage carousels.

Yes Ben did say he was staying at the Marriott as well.

bill, the 1 time i tried steel toe boots/ redwings$$$. i destroyed them in a day. i was canning a deck for a pour. the leather didn't like being rubbed on rebar and plywood all day.

there is no give to the front of the boot. if you ever set finish all day long, your toes will drag on the floors.

now for the rest of you guys:rolleyes:

if you're planning on competing in the plumbing olympics, you better wear light boots:confused: as i'll be running all over you guys:wink2:

hard toed.... boots work or hard toed dress shoes will work.

The hotel is only 10 minutes max from the airport so shuttles will be short wait. You can call the shuttle from the baggage claim area.

Dont worry about the airport much. Very easy to get in and out of... very small.

Adam, things are just a bouncing around here, I am also trying to go for my State Lead License, so while you guys are having fun, I'll be sitting in a classroom, trying to learn something about Lead. Theres no one in my area that has a License right now, so I'm moving into a new marketing area. Which I plan on becoming a State Inspector someday. Also, I"m hoping to get my License in Home Inspection, maybe this coming winter. Heres the class I'll be sitting in next week. http://www.eti.und.edu/select_course.php?class_id=156

I also did a continuing education course, down in the Twin Cities, about a month ago. Your never to old to learn, it also help in making new brain cells, because I sure lost a few in the past... :D

Enjoy your week.......Mark

Staying at the Mariott; fri and sat, the ridgid block was booked so they gave me another room in part of the hotel so I can stay in the same room the entire time but at the ridgid prices plus with a military discount.

How much time should I leave before my flight for security, etc?? I've heard 2 hours before, but that means like alot. I'll be flying out of a major airport (BWI) if that matters.

They say 2 hours ahead for domestic and 3 for international flights but thats too much. I only get there that early if you are flying during the holidays or bad weather. BWI is pretty quick about moving through into the secured gate area. If you do get there early there are a few places to get a decent bite to eat.

You parking or getting dropped off? If parking, better get there early, those buses are slow about coming around to the satellite lots.

Thanks, my buddy and I are just gonna take a cab to the airport, since we're only about 15 minutes away. That way I don't have to worry about parking, being picked up like you said, paying parking fee's, and I don't like parking my car in a huge parking lot for several days.

Where are you flying out of, Dulles or Reagan?

Reagan National is a 5 min cab ride from my front door :grin-square:

About $50 per ticket more to fly out than Dulles but a cab out there is about $35 before tip so it's worth it for the convience

Yea, I hate parking at airports too
