what are you doing

after church i will fire up the grill and cook up some fish for when my father in law comes over for lunch .
the i will take some baby back ribs and smoke them on the grill for 5 hr or so and have the for dinner .
then i will come here and see what is going on

so for all the fathers out have a good day :party-on:

and if your not a father but give advice to other people in the triads your like a father figure to some you to have a good day to :jumping:

I'm also grilling tonight then I'm taking my son fishing. He's been asking for a batman fishing pole for about 2 weeks. When he was born, I made a vow to the fishing gods that he will never possess a kiddie fishing pole. He would use a Penn or Shimano. The vow was broken last night. We went to Bass Pro Shops and I told him no and showed him a Calcutta reel. He looked back at the batman pole and didn't whine or yell but a tear did come down come down his cheek. I did what any good father would do-I caved in. I was looking at this pole today, what a piece of crap, I have hooks more expensive than that pole. :rant:

You can see how traumitized I am by buying that pole. So anyhoo, we're grilling and then go fishing. I bet he catches a bigger fish with his crappy pole than I do with my $400 calcutta/castaway setup. I wouldn't have it any other way. Hopefully I'll have some pics.

well the lunch was good and the ribs have bin smoking for 2 1/2 hr and are looking good ,soon to be all gone and my belly full :thumbup:

Since I'm not a daddy.......yet (Waiting till Larry King's age) I went ahead and bought steaks for my dad and my welder today.


My dad since it's his day and my welder since he's working on father's day nonetheless.

It was the least I could do.


What's bad........I burned 3 of 6 steaks.......idiot! Oh well.....the dog has and endless supply of premium people food next week.


Kudos to all those dads out there............I'm trying on a weekend basis with numerous attempts and women! Goooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!!!!

Well, just came in off the lake. Not the best day weather wise, but the fish paid no notice. Large Mouth's hitting like crazy. What a great day for fishing. Then again, a bad day fishing beats a good day working, any day.
