i would be more impressed with the 7500 sitting on a roof.

going down stairs is gravity.

upstairs is strength.

using a k-60 is experience;)

hey Rick how you gonna work around the poles with a K-60??? :killingme:
Yes it could be done but what a pain after you bring something down to set the K-60 on and try to feed cable between the poles as your 3` off the floor ;)
you`ve already seen it on the roof jobs ;) :D

BTW... see my 5 gal bucket so I can have a seat while the 7500 does all the work for me :killingme:

Poles? You mean those structural beams in the photo?

Even I can make it work in that space. That is no problem.

Is that an electrical cord that was hanging over your head:confused: I hope it was just a funny angle in the photo. It looks like it was hanging low and in your way.

Yep, it was some 12-2 !!!! the electrical work looked just as bad as the plumbing in that house. If my city inspector ever went down there he`d lock the place up tight!!!!

Is this the same place as your kitchen sink? Seems like they would be in the same house.

you need the bucket to rest on as you'll be winded going back up stairs.

3' is simple. i've strapped my k-60 on top of a 10' ladder with me on it.

at 3' a simple milk crate will get me 1/2 way there.

and if the 7500 does all the work for you, then you would have taken over 2 minutes to get 40' down the line in the 7500 roundup contest. not 6 seconds like the winning time:ignore:

Don't be so sure Rick, I started on a basket machine that didn't have auto feed ;) I know the tricks ;) I didn't even know of auto feed back in 83 :killingme:

He`d need a padded chair after caring all the cable, the 60 and a ladder and the cord down there so he could rest his old tired body... :killingme:

I took everything down in one trip. All the cutters and stuff go in the bucket and that hook`s on the power feed handle with the pipe sticking out and the cord just raps around the machine. One trip down and one up when finished :D
Thats 125` of cable and everything to do the job ;)

Come on. Tell the truth. If you got the demo you wanted of the k-60 you wouldn't be so bitter now. (And I mean bitter in the nicest possible way;))

2 things I would have done different is strap that 4" pipe to get rid of that vertical support. The other thing is forget the basement and gone through the vent. CI cleanout plugs are usually frozen shut around here. Maybe I don't have enogh lead in my pencil to free them but I find they're not worth the trouble, vent's easier.

I take the 4" plugs out with a hammer and a chisel.

actually i carry 53# 90' in the basket/ cage in 1 hand.
and the 41# machine with my cord and cutters in the other.

deduct 12# for no rear guide hose.

so either 94# with rear hose or 82# without hose;)

much better than a 150# machine and 152# of cable.(302#) plus all your pipe and buckets.

when i had the 7500 in my w4500 gmc truck, i needed a crane to load and unload it. you wouldn't make it a week with a trailer here.

use your head, not your back.

sectionals were invented for basements. that's why they're so popular out your way.

I dont know about the trailer thing rick as I also work in Wichita allot.
Bet I`d make out just fine ;)

Sectionals are not so popular with the Home Owners around here anymore ;)

remember i'm in los angeles.

when i have to pull my pipe bursting or jetter trailer, i have the owners park on the street to block off the space till i get there.

some of the larger jetter co's have a dedicated truck for jetting with no trailer.

traffic, 4 million plus people and parking don't mix.

my truck is 19' long and with the back up camera i can easily fit into a 22' spot. standard parking space is 20'.

It is probably easier to parallel park:poke:

You double park? Our UPS drivers don't actually use parking spots.

Hey if wasn't for Rick I would have never bought a K -60,it is a great part of a full arsenal of tools for me, I love the drum machine and think of it as my main guy but it is big it is heavy but dam it kicks ***! I like Both of them and as Rick has preached over and over I use it on jobs that I would have ran for my big boy and have made due. Again I like both and use them when needed

YES  Just like I said, I park like UPS :D

Theres nothing wrong with a K-60 and I`d like to add it to my arsenal of tools. It would set with my 380 and most likey not get much uses. I have a tool fetish :D
I have found that my home owner`s seem to like the K-7500 in their homes more then the sectionals. If it takes a little more work to move it to a basement so be it as I like to keep em happy and keep their job`s.

A bucket to set on is great if your knees are shot, sure saves some pain.

funny as the 2 city dog pounds i worked at today were first attempted by 3 city plumbers with a spartan 1065.

after they failed to get through the 6'' drains with running traps, they called the general contractor who oversaw the entire project. he calls me and i show up with my 1.25'' sectional and got through every line they couldn't.

even the ones with concrete. i do have pictures, but not time to transfer them.

even have a picture of the boxer i almost came home with. joey said no no no. once she saw the photo, she said well if baxter (my boxer) needs a brother:D

i'll be back next week to jet all the lines.

rick.

take that drum machines.

p.s. they even took my card for next time;)
