you forgot to caulk the wall where the sink contacts it.
how about the descanso fitting on your tube trap?

I didn't caulk the wall because they have to get someone in there to fix all the old holes and wants to be able to paint close to the sink. I`m sure the same handyman that used the black tape on the old sink trap will be doing the work :killingme:
I wanted to take out some of the wall and build a support and install new 2" line to the basement but they said it wasn't in their budget.
I had to go to a closet behind the wall and build a backing plate on the outside of the wall for a support.
It was a pita job for sure :thud:

Pretty cool I thought I was the only one with a dish fairy. The dish fairy's helper called this morning and wanted to come by but I told her I didn't need her this week. Boy won't Brenda be mad when she gets home.

I really dont know ???? you must see something I dont see?????
Hell, even the height was set to code.
Maybe your talking about the supply line that`s not hooked up????
Maybe your thinking the No-Hub band is a fernco as it does look kinda dark in that picture???? (picture taken with my phone so it`s not near a clear as my good camera.)
Hell I dont have a clue what you see with out you telling me ;)

Ok here`s a trap just like the one I used SO what is a descanso fitting ?
The only other thing hooked up to the trap is the drain extension peace off the drain and the trap arm. Other then that there`s a No-Hub to connect to the old lead in the wall :scratchhead:

All Clear, it is an 1 1/2 OD Compression adapter. Designed to have a built-in stop so the tail piece can't push into the santee. It comes in MIP, FIP, and sweat.
All Clear whats up has the good weather been good to you and the boats or have you been working with no play time?

I may have to rethink.... I get p.o.s.'s like this often and I just open them up again... I figure if they want a new sink that's what they'd ask for... this looks so much nicer though.

Think he's talking about the adapter with a "stop" in it so you can't push the trap arm any further. Keeps you from jacking it back to the San. Tee or 90.

Yeah, it's probably fine. Think everybody's just having fun. Look at the before and after for gosh sake!
But from a new construction point of view something like not caulking and you're failing inspection no matter what.

but it`s not finished because the wall is not done :D but in another way it should have the wall repair before the install ;)
Can you say Gray area ;)
JCsPlumbing
06-20-2008, 12:21 AM
No. We do not have any "grey" areas here. No caulk, you fail, and you're driving back. Doesn't matter if they're gonna paint, stucco, whatever. Call it in again without caulking, you're paying a fine. I'm not joking. I assume it's that way everywhere.

With as much sewer work that I have that`s just not possible.
My master plumber and I work together day in and day out.
I work for him when I`m plumbing the when he sends me out on sewer calls I work for myself.
I have one City license but it`s not the city I live in so here I work for him. In my city I have to be ICC and that's where I`m headed as I`m already a member of the ICC ;)
