we are doing a geo-thermal job right now .they are drilling the wells 300ft deep there will be 36 wells .this is one type they use

there is another that they use a ditch witch to dig a deep trench then lay is a slinky of pipe [ a pipe that is coiled ] then they fill the trench with a grout type material to adsorb and dissipate the heat .

they can also drill a well for water and pull the water out of the well and then return it in a 2nd well [ not used that much ]

then if you have a large pond you can lay a slinky type at the bottom to do the same [ this two is not used much ]
