I never say I've seen it all, I've seen enough, but I will never see it all. This is a good one, and the reason I carry a digital camera, some things you just can't explain, you need to have pics

Owner called and asked me how much it would cost to fix:p

He just could not understand why it would cost so much to fix and took alot of pride in his work:eek:

I told the prospective buyers that it was a "Do Over" Rip it all out and start again...

Here is another one from under the bathroom sink!!!

Yup homeowner / builder did this work....

The funny part is it was just remodeled due to a PB pipe rupture upstairs, It amazes me that an insurance company would not see this crap and do backflips before they would continue coverage on this place...

Oh well, Job security is right:)

I posted this on another forum, also an estimate for a potential buyer.

When I explained to the real estate agent that this would not possibly work right for a standard bath group, she implied all it needed was a more powerful toilet.
She was just trying to get the house sold, I explained that sh-t actually does flow downhill and gave her and all present a demo by filling the lav, then draining it and watching the toilet weir siphon as it drained.
There are a number of violations just in that pic alone...I don't think I have yours beat though, but the R.E. agents attempts to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about made it too funny to not mention.

I'd like to see Josh put all of our violation pics in one folder. Kind of a "Hocus Focus" for plumbers.

How many violations do you see in this picture?

I think I see 6 in yours. :)

:rant-on:

If I never had to deal with another tick on the *** end of life real estate agent again I would be a happy man!!!

Nothing worse than a crabby middle aged woman who knows everything about houses because she sells them!!! The market is getting tight and they are all getting bad...

They are worse than used car salesmen and lawyers combined ( no offense to the legal profession).

Really what service do they provide???

How do they make us better as a people, as a civilization?

Are we really better in any way for having them?

Sorry had to vent:rant-off:

Thanks for posting that Okie. Now I know I'm not the only one that has to deal with that.

Had a customer that installed their own water heater that looked something like that. The asked me to just make that transition from copper to pex.

I did as they asked, but I refused to pressurize the system and I demanded payment immediately. (We bill out 30 days).:outtahere:

You do realize this is the work of several hardware store trips and the EXPERT advice availible therefrom! Things like this are whats going thru the minds of homeowners as the have that blank stare in the store isle as they hold the adapters and rub their chins staring in deep artistic desperation. If you havent seen this look go to the store and see!

I call it turkey in the rain syndrome. You see it all the time at home depot and lowe's. People standing in the aisle, blank stare, open mouth, not a freekin clue. And along comes the man with the shiney orange vest to put the screws to the poor bastards. You can screw it up, Home Depot can help.

5 bucks says all that pb was bought at H.D. Them and hardware stores are the only fools still selling the crap.
