Not that I am questioning any of you but it is okay to at least act masculine.

I got a heat rash in my lower nether regions, a kidney stone and a twitching left eye but my focus is my grand introduction to my second business for a local 2 day event. I'm hoping for a controlled atmosphere with no problems.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I somehow doubt this but I can lay to rest the inhaling of paint fumes, welding/assembling/stickering/paying money and everything else.....just so 10,000 people can realize what I need more than oxygen right now; cash flow.:check:

I'm staying close to "The Woussko Hut" and mostly going to make lots of ZZZs. Then when the time is right I'll watch PBS with their special shows. It's just too much of a mess around my area to go anywhere.
DUNBAR, Good luck passing out the kidney stone(s). Damn do they ever kick of a painful fuss. For people that have yet to have an attack of kidney stones they feel like you crushed your balls in a vise. No bull. DAMN what pain.

I was going to ask you how to grill corn. total coinicident you posted how. Lighting fireworks and avoiding the cops while doing so. Grilling my world famous steaks and spending time with the family.
Then on July 5, I watch Rampage Jackson beat Forrest Griffin. 2nd round by knockout.

I need to check the local farmers market for some good corn. The stuff at the market would make an old farm bull vomit. It's bad stuff. On the other hand in late July there should be loads of good fresh corn all over. I do miss one local guy that plowed up his back yard and grew good corn. He moved and now the little cornfield is lawn. I'm sure his old neighbors are happy as no more do they have the stink of cow manure. No manure = corn just isn't much good.

Nephew's birthday celebration on the 4th at camp. Talked to him yesterday he would like some accessories to 'Pimp' his kayak. I got a chuckle out of that. Somehow the words pimp and kayak don't go together.
Supposed to rain this afternoon here so as soon as coffee is ready heading for a couple hour paddle to see baby Blue Heron's. They are white when born and so cute sticking their heads over the top of the nests. Something happened at the nesting area. Where usually there are 25-30 nests, this year there are only 12-15. Should check with Conservation Dept.

I know, just messing around. Every time some one says something is white or black, we joke "why's it gotta be white" or "why's it gotta be black".

GO HOKIES!!! :D
The son of my good friend Sue is going there now. Such a big school, I doubt they know each other though.
We're going to a friend's house in WVA for the 4th. Fireworks and croquet on his big nice lawn. He's also got a pool so we can lounge around in between the games. Some of us are staying in tents around the grounds (he has 6 acres backed up to National Forest), some are staying in the house. Mainly it's a chance to get away from cell phones and such. And we already have about 30lb of smoked pork to take!! I'll probably stop at one of the local farm stands and get the corn.

We went to a 40th b-day party/ 4th of July cookout. The honoree works for my boss' mechanical division. I did the underground plumbing for the tool shed/shop the party was in, so I got a lot of props. I only ate 4 hamburgers over 5 hours, so I was kinda disappointed in myself. My boys bounced on a trampoline for hours and chased around the goats. The neighbor has a mini herd of goats, and gave one to Paul for his birthday. They are in the city limits, but on the far north edge of town, both houses are zoned agriculteral, so the goats are cools with the authorities. Then we went across the street and watched a private fireworks display in a hayfield, about 35 minutes long, amazing. The temp topped about about 75 degrees, sunny and breezy, a perfect day, the coolest 4th of July I can remember. I think this global warming is bullshit. Today is my dad's 73rd b-day. I live about 3/4 of a mile from him. We will go down there later on, what a great weekend, what a great country!

I put corn in salt water then continue with the above statement.
:p
we lit some fireworks a little early for the kids and after we were done, the big show started. Several families in the neighborhood buy $1000 worth of fireworks, have the street blocked off and light away until midnight. It's the same families that compete with their halloween decorations and they get crazy!

table salt
and what does this do ?

I use Kosher salt, cause it's coarser. It is suppose to make the corn more tender. I don't know if it is true since I just do it to all of it:shrug:
You should put salt in the water of half the corn and just put the other half in plain water and see if you taste a difference;)
Please report back. You know how everyone gets when advice is given and we never find out the outcome:lol:
